Copy of a letter from Bateson to L. Hogben. It discusses the position of the Genetical Society in relation to the creation of a new society 'with functions largely identical [to those of the Genetical Society]'. This new society was to become known as the Society for Experimental Biology and Bateson also refers to the offer to him to join its Council. This he did, as a co-opted member, in March 1924.
