Notebook with the above inscription, in Darlington's hand, on the cover. A label with the inscription '1933' has also been stuck onto the cover. The contents, in Darlington's hand, comprise notes and unidentified and incomplete drafts (typically just a few pages). Page headings include the following: 'Homology and Telosynapsis', 'The "Haploid" Chr. Set', 'The Theory of Genetics', 'The Cytological Theory of Evolution', 'Precocity Theory' and 'Low Charge on Sex Chrs'. Pagination occurs occasionally. The book has been used from both ends; several pages are blank. About one third into the book is a folded-over page inscribed '1933'. A few additional pages of notes have been glued onto original pages. One photograph (attached to a page headed 'Spirals') is included.
